The tribal shaman, village wise woman or cunning man served the community by healing the sick and mediating with the spirits for the benefit of the people. These valued members of the community harnessed invisible powers and used their knowledge of herbs to perform magick rites and conjure spells. Herbs are also an important part of celebrating the wheel of the seasons, and ebb and flow of life.
