Divination
Divination is the art or technique of gaining knowledge of
future events or distant states by means of observing and interpreting
signs omens or by using paranormal or supernatural powers.
Various objects
or events may serve as media of divination our ancestors have used whatever
was at hand to divine the future, knucklebones, entrails, sticks, stones
and shells have been used to divine the future.
Astrology I Ching, and tarot reading are among the common well known
methods of divination in use today.Divination is one of the primary practices
used by witches, sorcerers, and shamans who train in the practice and
interpretation of their divinatory
skills.
Our own theory is
that they work using the unconscious mind, natural energies and
spirits to discern the outcome of the questions we put. With practice
you can hone your intuition of the signs you see in the world around
you and
using your favourite divination method.
There are two basic practices of divination.
1 The observation and interpretation
of natural phenomena, unexpected storms, particular cloud formations,
howling or unnatural actions in animals, astrology and unusual dreams.
2 The observation
and interpretation of man-made phenomena deliberately produced for
the purpose of divination things such as pouring oil into a basin of water
to observe the formation of bubbles and rings in the receptacle, casting
lots, and numerous other acts.
