This is just a short piece to help the wicca beginner get a perspective on what it is all about, hopefully start of in the right direction and with the right frame of mind. We will be adding more as we go along (we welcome input articles from others). The wicca beginner will find the ideas and magickal practices of wicca simple to follow, easy to understand and joyful. Some think of the magick practiced by wiccans as 'Low Magic' (as opposed to as that practiced by magicians with their complicated ritual and ceremonial of 'High Magic')

Wicca is a very practical religion; with rituals connected to the Earth Moon Nature and the cycles they create. There are no hard and fast rules when it comes to magick and there is nothing stopping you creating your own rituals if you feel that is the path you wish to follow. Wiccans may make use of ritual but it is mainly concerned with directing natural forces and elemental powers in basic and immediate ways

Wiccans use a variety of natural things to help in this direction candles oils, resins, herbs, incense and endeavour to gain as much knowledge of these things as they can to use in their rituals. As they are working with the natural forces of the world they develop a deep respect for the planet and often see her as a living entity the Earth Mother.

One thing you should always remember is to do what you feel is right for you. Nobody has the right to tell you that what you are doing is wrong the wicca beginner should always be guided by what they feel as long as it harms no one.
